Iowa one call is pleased to announce that homeowners and one time excavators can now use the newly streamlined system to submit their requests online. Effective March 1, 2013, a version of on-line ticketing designed specifically with the occasional user of Iowa One Call in mind will be available.
On-line ticket entry has been used in Iowa for several years. Because professional excavators as a group were the biggest users of Iowa One Call, the software used primarily designed with them in mind.
Several modifications to the program have made it much more user-friendly for the homeowner or other one time excavator. Getting started is as simple as clicking on a link and entering your email address. The user will be sent a link by return email to verify their request. Once they click on the accompanying link, they will be transferred to the ticket entry web site and be able to get started.
Whether you're trenching in a field, planting a tree or digging a foundation, Iowa law requires everyone to locate underground utilities before digging. First, contact us to begin the discovery process, then wait 48 hours (excluding Saturday, Sunday and legal holidays) before any digging begins. Call or click before you dig. This service is FREE and it's the law.
Iowa One Call Center Launches ITIC and IMAP Upgrade Ongoing efforts to enhance the user interface include significant upgrades to two important web-based applications: ITIC and IMAP.
